Jason Rigdon, Methamphetamine Possession, Florida 2025

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Jason Rigdon, the 44-year-old drug kingpin from Crawfordville, Florida, has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of multiple firearms by a convicted felon. Rigdon’s plea was made public on July 9, 2025, by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

U.S. Attorney Heekin praised the collaborative efforts of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in removing this dangerous individual from the streets. ‘My office remains fully committed to Take Back America by targeting violent criminals with the full force of the law,’ Heekin stated.

The search warrant executed at Rigdon’s residence in Crawfordville uncovered a cache of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and thirteen firearms, including a ‘ghost gun.’ Rigdon has a lengthy criminal history that includes previous convictions for drug trafficking, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and illegal possession of firearms.

Scheduled for sentencing on September 25, 2025, Rigdon faces up to thirty years’ imprisonment for the methamphetamine charge and an additional fifteen years for the firearms offense. Assistant United States Attorney Eric K. Mountin is prosecuting this case.

This investigation was part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at eliminating cartels, transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
