Dollar Store Heist Lands Philly Man in Hot Water
Terrence Harper, 41, of Philadelphia, PA, is facing serious charges after allegedly attempting to rob a Family Dollar Store and carrying out actual robberies at the same location and another business in Philadelphia.
According to court documents, Harper attempted to rob the Family Dollar Store, located at 6337 North Broad Street, on December 13, 2013, and successfully robbed the same store on December 15, 2013. The defendant also allegedly robbed the Whisper Inn, at 7610 Ogontz Avenue, on December 18, 2013.
Harper is also charged with related firearms offenses. If convicted of all charges, the defendant faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 32 years in prison with a statutory maximum sentence of life, up to five years of supervised release, a $500 special assessment, possible fines, and restitution.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Philadelphia Police Department, and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ewald Zittlau.
