Terry Suggs, Jr., Cocaine and Meth Mixture Conspiracy, Pennsylvania 2022

Terry Suggs, Jr., a 37-year-old former resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in federal court in Pittsburgh. Suggs is currently an inmate at the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center.

The charges stem from a February 25, 2019, controlled purchase and delivery operation conducted by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (D.A.N.E.T). The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking activity coming from Philadelphia to Allegheny County.

As a result of the investigation, law enforcement apprehended Suggs and another defendant with approximately 23 kilograms of a cocaine/methamphetamine mixture. The mixture was located in hidden compartments in the vehicles driven by each of the defendants. In addition, $8,060.00 was seized from the vehicle operated by Suggs.

The law provides for a total sentence of not more than 20 years in prison, a fine not to exceed $1,000,000, and a term of supervised release of at least three years. Suggs’ sentencing is scheduled for May 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM.

Assistant United States Attorney Rebecca L. Silinski is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (D.A.N.E.T) made the initial arrest, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation that led to Suggs’ prosecution.

According to the court records, in connection with the guilty plea, the Court was advised that Suggs conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute a cocaine and methamphetamine mixture.

Terry Suggs, Jr. will face the consequences of his actions. The Grimy Times will continue to monitor the case and provide updates on the sentencing and any further developments.
