Cornelius Alexander Thompson, a 38-year-old correctional officer from Ocala, Florida, has been arrested and charged with one count of sexual abuse of a ward in federal custody and one count of receipt of a bribe by a public official.
According to the indictment, Thompson engaged in a sexual act with a federal inmate under his custodial, supervisory, and disciplinary authority at the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Coleman) between January 2020 and August 9, 2023.
