Three Men Guilty of Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances
A federal jury in Davenport, Iowa, has convicted three men of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances in Burlington, Iowa, and elsewhere.
Kendrick Ramon Page, age 39; Tristan Kareem Davis, age 36; and Breon Raquon Armstrong, age 20, all originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, were found guilty of conspiring to distribute crack cocaine and ice methamphetamine.
The evidence presented at trial showed that Page, who relocated to Burlington while in school, had brought others, including Davis and Armstrong, from Shreveport to assist in his drug trafficking activities. Page had been involved in trafficking drugs in Burlington since the early 2000s.
Acting United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal praised the dedication and hard work of multiple federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in bringing the long-standing drug organization to justice.
Des Moines County Sheriff Kevin Glendengin credited the collaborative investigation involving numerous investigators from different agencies, saying it was a testament to their dedication to making communities safe.
The investigation, which culminated in the execution of search warrants on November 19, 2019, also resulted in charges against eight defendants, including Page, Davis, and Armstrong. Others charged as part of the drug trafficking organization have pleaded guilty and received varying sentences, including Frederrick Dewayne Reed, who was sentenced to 160 months of imprisonment.
The charges stem from a long-term investigation conducted by numerous federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, including the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Taskforce, Burlington Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The conviction of Page, Davis, and Armstrong is a significant blow to the drug trafficking organization, and law enforcement officials are working to aggressively combat the illegal distribution of narcotics in the tri-state area.
