Waterbury Man Sentenced to Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking and Firearm Offenses
A Waterbury man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for his role in a fentanyl trafficking ring and the illegal sale of a firearm.
According to court documents, TIMEEK HEATH, 42, of Waterbury, was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, fentanyl, and firearms trafficking.
The charges against Heath stem from two controlled purchases of distribution quantities of fentanyl made by investigators in August and September 2024. Lab analysis of the fentanyl revealed that it contained dangerous additives including xylazine and tramadol.
On September 5, 2024, Heath sold a loaded Glock, Model 23, .40 caliber pistol to a convicted felon, which was later found to be stolen from a car at a gas station in Waterbury in 2024.
Heath pleaded guilty to the charges on November 10, 2025. He is currently detained.
The matter was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathaniel J. Gentile.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
Heath’s sentence comes as a result of his involvement in the distribution of fentanyl, a highly addictive and deadly opioid. The sale of this substance has been linked to numerous overdoses and deaths across the country.
