Timothy Joseph Page Sentenced to 33+ Years for Child Pornography Crimes

A federal judge has dealt a crushing blow to a Montevallo man, sentencing him to over three decades behind bars for his heinous child pornography crimes. U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona and Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Katrina W. Berger announced the sentence.

U.S. District Court Judge Anna Manasco handed down the punishment to Timothy Joseph Page, 40, of Montevallo, Alabama. The defendant will serve 405 months in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. Page will also be required to register as a sex offender in accordance with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

This conviction stems from Page’s guilty plea in December 2023 to two counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. As part of the plea agreement, it was revealed that Page produced child pornography depicting a 12-year-old female and was in possession of more than 400 images of child pornography, including images of prepubescent children.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. This effort marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet and to identify and rescue victims.

Homeland Security Investigations led the investigation, working in conjunction with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Alabaster Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel S. McBrayer prosecuted the case, ensuring justice was served for the victims of Page’s heinous crimes.

With this sentence, Page will face the consequences of his actions, and the community can rest a little easier knowing that a predator has been brought to justice. The investigation and prosecution of child pornography cases are a top priority for law enforcement, and efforts like Project Safe Childhood will continue to be instrumental in protecting our children from exploitation.

The Department of Justice remains committed to combating child sexual exploitation and abuse, and we will continue to work tirelessly to bring perpetrators to justice and protect our nation’s children.
