Timothy Myers, Child Pornography and Cyberstalking, New York 2024

Timothy Myers, 34, of Freehold, New Jersey, has been hit with a 29-count federal indictment accusing him of producing, distributing, and receiving child pornography, engaging in sexual enticement of minors, and cyberstalking vulnerable teenage girls across state lines. The charges, unsealed in Buffalo, New York, expose a calculated campaign of digital predation stretching back to 2016.

Federal prosecutors say Myers posed as a teenage boy named CJ Mikowski—or sometimes Colin James—on Facebook, manipulating girls as young as 12 into believing they were in romantic relationships. Under the guise of intimacy, he coerced them into sending sexually explicit images. When victims resisted or tried to cut contact, Myers turned violent in tone—threatening to share their private photos with friends, family, and peers.

One victim suffered more than threats. According to the indictment, Myers drove her from New York to New Jersey on two separate occasions to engage in sexual acts. Investigators have confirmed at least five minor victims within the Western District of New York, though authorities fear the actual number could be higher as digital forensics continue.

The indictment details how Myers used deception and emotional manipulation to exploit his victims, leveraging false identities and escalating pressure when compliance wavered. Each count of production, receipt, and distribution of child pornography carries a minimum of five years and a maximum penalty of life in prison. Combined with cyberstalking and sexual enticement charges, Myers faces a potential lifetime behind bars and a $250,000 fine.

Arrested and arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer, Myers is currently in federal custody awaiting trial. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie Lamarque is leading the prosecution, emphasizing the severity of premeditated abuse masked by online anonymity. “This wasn’t random,” said Lamarque. “This was grooming, exploitation, and coercion—orchestrated over months.”

The case was built through a joint investigation by the New York State Police, under Major Edward Kennedy, and Homeland Security Investigations, led by Special Agent-in-Charge Kevin Kelly. Authorities remind the public that while Myers is presumed innocent until proven guilty, the evidence laid out in court documents paints a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior spanning multiple states and years.
