Sex Trafficking Fugitive Captured
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A notorious sex trafficking fugitive has been brought to justice after a lengthy investigation, officials announced on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at a press conference held at the Robert C. Byrd U.S. Courthouse in Charleston.
The defendant, Tiwan Robert Bailey, 48, of Charleston, was arrested on federal charges related to the sex trafficking of multiple victims, including a minor victim, and his efforts to obstruct the investigation and prosecution of those crimes.
According to officials, Bailey, also known as “Quick,” preyed on vulnerable individuals, exploiting them for his own gain. His arrest marks a significant victory in the fight against sex trafficking.
The charges against Bailey include sex trafficking, obstruction of justice, and other related offenses. If convicted, he faces significant prison time and financial penalties.
The investigation, which was led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia, involved multiple law enforcement agencies and took several months to complete.
Tiwan Robert Bailey, 48, of Charleston, is currently being held without bond pending a trial. His exact sentence will be determined by the court after a conviction.
