In a shocking turn of events, Tobias Ovonuel Goodbear, a 28-year-old resident of Ada, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to one count of Assault of Intimate Partner and Dating Partner by Strangling in Indian Country.

The crime, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, allegedly occurred on July 29, 2024, in Pontotoc County, within the boundaries of the Chickasaw Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
