Travis Parker, Cocaine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2021

A York man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking operation in the city.

Travis Parker, 41, was sentenced to 120 months in prison by United States District Court Judge Christopher C. Conner on October 29, 2021, for distributing and possessing with intent to distribute more than 28 grams of cocaine.

Parker was convicted of several drug trafficking offenses on May 5, 2021, after a jury found him guilty of selling and attempting to sell cocaine to undercover detectives between September 2018 and January 2019.

According to Acting United States Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, the conviction stems from a six-month investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives and the York County Drug Task Force.

When Parker was arrested on January 30, 2019, police discovered more than 60 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, indicating the scope of his operation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Johnny Baer and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the York City Police Department, and the York County Drug Task Force.

Parker’s sentence was imposed as part of the joint federal, state, and local Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program, which aims to reduce violent crime through a combination of law enforcement and community-based initiatives.

The maximum penalty under federal law for this offense is 40 years’ imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
