William Enmond, Cocaine Distribution Conspiracy, New Jersey 2024

TRENTON, N.J. — The grimy streets of Trenton were shaken by the admission of William Enmond, a local drug kingpin, who today confessed to his role in a chilling conspiracy to distribute over 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and more than 87 grams of cocaine base.

Enmond, 53, from Trenton itself, faced U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp in federal court after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine, and to manufacture, distribute, and possess with intent to distribute at least 28 grams of cocaine base.

The plea comes after Enmond conspired with Bobby Williams, Khalfini Richardson, and Capitol T. Wellons, according to documents and statements in court. From September 2013 through his January 13, 2016, arrest, the drug ring operated from two adjacent Trenton residences. On September 6, 2013, Enmond sold 446.5 grams of cocaine for $17,320 to an informant.

U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman gave credit to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Unit for their role in the investigation that led to today’s guilty plea. The DEA’s Special Agent in Charge Carl J. Kotowski and Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri were highlighted.

Enmond faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, a maximum of 40 years, and a fine up to $5 million or twice the gross profits. Sentencing is scheduled for June 13, 2017. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Molly Lorber and Joseph Gribko represent the government.

Enmond’s defense counsel is Mark G. Davis Esq., of Hamilton, New Jersey. Charges against the remaining defendants are merely accusations, as they are considered innocent until proven guilty.
