Trey Cardale Campbell, 26, Indicted for Heroin and Fentanyl Distribution in Berkeley County
A Martinsburg, West Virginia man has been charged with heroin and fentanyl distribution, according to a recent indictment. Trey Cardale Campbell, 26, is accused of distributing heroin, furanyl fentanyl, and fentanyl in May 2017 in Berkeley County.
Campbell faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000 for each count. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
The charges against Campbell include one count of “Distribution of Heroin” and one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Furanyl Fentanyl, Heroin, and Fentanyl.” Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy D. Helman is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
The Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case.
An indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
According to the indictment, Campbell’s alleged crimes took place in May 2017 in Berkeley County, West Virginia. The indictment does not provide a specific date for the alleged crimes.
