Pedro Triminio-Caballero, Illegal Re-Entry, New York 2024

Syracuse, New York – Pedro Triminio-Caballero, a 41-year-old citizen of Honduras, has been sentenced to time served – 54 days in jail – for his illegal re-entry into the United States.

Triminio-Caballero’s transgression was announced by United States Attorney Richard S. Hartunian and Chief Patrol Agent John C. Pfeifer of the United States Border Patrol, Swanton Sector.

The court records reveal that Triminio-Caballero has a history of returning to the U.S. after being removed to Honduras on three prior occasions: October 6, 1996; March 20, 2005; and April 16, 2012. After his last re-entry, he had been residing in Miami, Florida.

Triminio-Caballero’s recent encounter with law enforcement came on March 15, 2017, when Border Patrol Agents apprehended him in a taxi stopped at the Champlain, New York border.

After serving his sentence, Triminio-Caballero was handed over to the Department of Homeland Security for further removal proceedings.

This case was thoroughly investigated by United States Border Patrol and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Edward P. Grogan.
