Trinitarios Gang Members Charged with Kidnapping ‘Ice’ and ‘Mago’
BOSTON – In a shocking case of brazen violence, two alleged members of the notorious Trinitarios gang, Isiah Medina, a/k/a ‘Ice’, 25, and Rodderith Peralta, a/k/a ‘Mago’, 26, both of Lawrence, Massachusetts, have been charged with kidnapping a victim in Andover, Massachusetts, in May 2024.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Medina and Peralta allegedly burst into the victim’s apartment on May 5, 2024, wearing law enforcement raid jackets, and forced him into a vehicle. The victim was held captive for multiple days, until he was released in Lowell, Massachusetts.
A 911 caller reported the incident, describing the men as wearing law enforcement jackets and putting the victim into an SUV. The victim’s statements to police corroborated the caller’s account and physical evidence was also found.
Medina was arrested in April 2025 on an unrelated charge and his phone was searched pursuant to a search warrant. Investigators found videos and photographs allegedly taken while the victim was held captive, including one showing Peralta’s hand interacting with the victim’s face.
The defendants are in custody on unrelated state charges and are alleged to be members of the Lawrence Chapter of the Trinitarios gang. They will appear in U.S. District Court next week.
The charge of conspiracy to commit a kidnapping carries a maximum penalty of up to life in prison, and up to five years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard of the Organized Crime and Gang Unit is prosecuting the case.
This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States.
