Eagan Man Sentenced to 7.5 Years for Receiving Child Pornography

A 29-year-old Eagan man has been sentenced to 90 months in prison for receiving child pornography, according to the United States Attorney’s Office. Tyler Michael Sauve, 29, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, for his crime.

According to court documents, Sauve pleaded guilty on December 15, 2022, to one count of receipt of child pornography. The investigation revealed that Sauve possessed thousands of images and videos depicting prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

The case was the result of an investigation conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Eagan Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Manda M. Sertich prosecuted the case.
