Huntington Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Crime
A 45-year-old man from Huntington, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl.
According to authorities, on June 14, 2023, Tyson Davis Sr. sold approximately 2.93 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant while in a parked vehicle in Huntington.
Davis admitted to the transaction, and now faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine.
United States Attorney Will Thompson commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the case.
Davis is scheduled to be sentenced on September 3, 2024.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley C. Shamblin, and was presided over by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers.
