U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams, Faith Community Safety Seminar, Oregon 2019

PORTLAND, OR – A brazen attempt to leave faith communities vulnerable to violence has sparked a call to action from local law enforcement agencies. In a shocking move, leaders from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the FBI, and other Portland area law enforcement agencies have joined forces to host a safety and security seminar for faith communities.

According to sources, the seminar is a direct response to the growing threat of violence against faith communities. A news conference featuring senior leaders from OneCOP and participating law enforcement agencies will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. on the 15th floor of the Justice Center.
