WASHINGTON – In a move to increase transparency and community engagement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia has taken to Instagram to share its work with the public.
Under the leadership of U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves, the office has launched a new Instagram account, @usao_dc, where followers can stay up-to-date on cases, events, and community outreach.
Graves emphasized the importance of social media in modern communication, stating, “Social media continues to dominate our communications channels. We are hopeful this expansion will help us reach more people in our community – to educate them about who we are as well as about the important work we do.”
The office’s Instagram account will feature a mix of photos and videos, including updates on ongoing cases, behind-the-scenes glimpses of community events, and messages from U.S. Attorney Graves and other members of the office.
In addition to Instagram, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia is also active on other social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter), YouTube, and Facebook. These accounts can be found at @USAO_DC, @USAO_DC, and USAODC, respectively.
By expanding its social media presence, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia aims to build stronger relationships with the community and provide greater transparency into its work.
