BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a shocking turn of events, Brandon G. Uber, 24, of Jamestown, NY, has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor, according to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.
The grim announcement came as Uber was awaiting sentencing on a previous distribution of child pornography charge, which landed him 210 months in prison.
Uber’s downfall began on August 22, 2024, when federal agents executed a search warrant at his residence after discovering child pornography files uploaded to a KIK application server. During the raid, law enforcement seized three tablets and a laptop, uncovering approximately 33 images and five videos of child pornography.
The investigation revealed that Uber was an active member and moderator of a KIK chat forum dedicated to trading child pornography. The harrowing content included the sexual exploitation of infants or toddlers and violence against children.
U.S. Assistant Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who handled the case, emphasized the severity of Uber’s actions, noting that he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for his latest offense.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, New York State Police, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Sentencing is scheduled for December 15, 2025, before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.
