GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Cole Bradley Martin, a 39-year-old Vallejo resident, has been hit with a federal indictment for illegal possession of a firearm. According to court documents, Martin was caught on August 14, 2025, with a Springfield XD 9mm pistol and a KelTec P32 .32-caliber pistol.
Martin is prohibited from owning firearms due to prior felony convictions in Solano County, including possession of a controlled substance and robbery in the first degree. This case is the result of an intensive investigation by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Zulkar Khan will be handling the prosecution of this case. If convicted, Martin faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. It is important to note that all charges against Martin are allegations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
This incident is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration, eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime. The effort involves the full resources of the Department of Justice, including Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
Additionally, this case is under the umbrella of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together law enforcement at all levels with communities to reduce violent crime and gun violence. Launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2021, PSN focuses on fostering trust, supporting community organizations, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring results for safer neighborhoods.
