Embezzlement Sentence Handed to Missouri Woman

A 45-year-old woman from Washington, Missouri, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for embezzling more than $160,000 from her employer, a Franklin County nursery and florist.

Victoria Isgriggs, formerly known as Victoria Denise Missey, worked as an office manager and accountant at the company from approximately November 26, 2023, through April 29, 2024.

According to court documents, Isgriggs embezzled $34,934 from the company’s bank account and used a company credit card without authorization to make $76,095 in personal purchases. She also charged another $46,125 using five co-workers’ cards and fraudulently increased her salary, stealing another $4,635.

Additionally, Isgriggs added herself to the company’s Lowe’s credit card and made $2,666 in fraudulent charges.

Investigators were able to recover $11,850 in cash, as well as jewelry, Christian Louboutin footwear, and Louis Vuitton bags and accessories. Isgriggs has agreed to forfeit the cash and other valuables.

Isgriggs pleaded guilty in October in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to two counts of wire fraud. The U.S. Secret Service and the Washington Police Department investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Roy prosecuting the case.

Isgriggs, whose real name is Victoria Denise Isgriggs, will serve her 18-month sentence for the crime of wire fraud in the St. Louis area. She will also be required to repay the money she embezzled.
