Wandy Alcibiades Diaz-Diaz, Illegal Reentry, Rhode Island 2025
Wandy Alcibiades Diaz-Diaz, 45, a Dominican national, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Rhode Island on a charge of illegal reentry.
The indictment comes after Diaz-Diaz was recently convicted in Rhode Island Superior Court on multiple drug charges and is currently serving a 66-month term of incarceration at the ACI.
Diaz-Diaz’s troubles with the law began in 2021 when he was convicted in federal court on a heroin trafficking charge and served a 60-month prison sentence.
Following his release, he was deported, only to return to the United States and engage in further illicit activities.
Diaz-Diaz came to the attention of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through an automated biometric fingerprint match in January 2025, following his arrest on multiple state drug charges.
The current case in federal court is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S Attorney Ronald R. Gendron.
The matter was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
A federal indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Diaz-Diaz is currently in custody at the ACI, serving a 66-month term of incarceration for his state drug charges.
