Gaston Man Indicted for Being a Felon in Possession of Firearm

Columbia, South Carolina – Warren Dominque McDaniel, age 27, of Gaston, South Carolina was arrested today after being charged in a 2-count federal indictment.

McDaniel was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1). The maximum penalty McDaniel could receive is 10 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000.

The indictment stems from an April 14, 2014, shooting incident in Gaston and from a July 22, 2010, incident in Columbia.

The case was investigated by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, and the Columbia Police Department, and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Stacey D. Haynes of the Columbia office for prosecution.
