GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Wayne Oddo, 53, of Poultney, Vermont, faces federal charges after the mysterious death of Alexandra Rooker. Law enforcement officials have linked Oddo’s death to drug use and a firearms violation.
Rooker was reported missing on March 8, 2017, after being last seen at Oddo’s residence. Her body was discovered during an ATF-led search warrant executed on Oddo’s home. The cause of her death is still under investigation, with authorities treating it as suspicious and possibly related to a drug overdose.
Oddo was arrested and charged with being a user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm, violating 18 U.S.C. §922(g)(3). He faced an initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge John M. Conroy and is currently detained pending further hearing.
The case is a collaborative effort between the Vermont State Police, ATF, and FBI. Detectives are processing the scene at Oddo’s residence and urging anyone with information to contact the Vermont State Police.
