A Rapid City woman has been sentenced to 57 months in federal prison for a brutal assault on a witness who cooperated with law enforcement. Whitney Bagola, 27, was handed the sentence on April 26, 2021, by Chief U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange.
According to officials, the assault took place on April 20, 2020, at a jail in South Dakota. Bagola, reportedly, targeted an individual who had given information to law enforcement, and she was subsequently charged with Retaliation Against a Witness.
