Delano White Eagle, Assault by Strangulation and Suffocation, South Dakota 2017

Violence erupted in an Eagle Butte, South Dakota, home on August 24, 2016, when Delano White Eagle allegedly assaulted his dating partner, leaving her severely injured. The 46-year-old man has now faced justice for his heinous crime.

On April 10, 2017, U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange sentenced White Eagle to 46 months in federal custody, followed by 3 years of supervised release. The defendant was also ordered to pay a special assessment of $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
