Rochester, NY – A notorious Bloods Gang associate has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars for his role in a violent narcotics trafficking scheme.
Mario Cain-Henry, 31, of Rochester, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. handed down the 144-month sentence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas E. Gregory revealed that Cain-Henry is a high-ranking member of the Immortal Stone Gorilla Gang, a subset of the nationally recognized Bloods Gang. The gang’s violent activities included narcotics trafficking, weapons possession, and associated violence.
According to investigators, Cain-Henry was involved in a lengthy narcotics trafficking scheme, which led to the murder of Rochester Police Investigator Anthony Mazurkewicz and the assault of Investigator Sino Seng in July 2022. The investigation also uncovered a violent feud between the Bloods Gang and another group led by Brandon “B-Mack” Washington.
Washington and several associates have also been charged with federal drug and weapons offenses. The sentencing is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Rochester Police Department Special Investigation Section, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
The investigation began after a lengthy probe into narcotics trafficking, weapons possession, and associated violence by several members of the Bloods Gang. On December 14, 2022, several search warrants were executed at locations associated with Cain-Henry, including his residence. During the searches, investigators recovered quantities of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, cash, loaded firearms, and ammunition.
Cain-Henry’s sentencing marks a significant blow to the Bloods Gang’s operations in Rochester. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to disrupt and dismantle violent gangs that plague our communities.
