PITTSBURGH, PA – The grim streets of Munhall were rocked by a federal indictment against Aaron Harper, 24, who is accused of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
The charges stem from an alleged incident on June 13, 2022, where Harper reportedly violated federal firearms laws. If convicted, Harper could face a staggering 20 years in prison, a fine of $1,000,000, or both.
United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung confirmed the indictment, noting that Assistant United States Attorney DeMarr W. Moulton will be handling the prosecution for the government. The FBI conducted the investigation that led to Harper’s arrest and charges.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a Department initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence across Pennsylvania. Launched on May 26, 2021, PSN strengthens community trust and enforces focused enforcement priorities.
