Kaleb Marc Rodriquez, a 27-year-old Abilene man, was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison for producing and transporting child pornography. The crime occurred on September 22, 2024, when Rodriquez was left in charge of a 14-year-old girl, known as Jane Doe 1, and her two siblings at their apartment. Rodriquez took advantage of the situation to exploit the young girl, creating sexually explicit content that he later emailed to himself.

The abuse was discovered on February 17, 2025, when Jane Doe 1’s mother found the explicit video on her phone, which Rodriquez had used while caring for the children. The mother immediately contacted the Abilene Police Department, who launched an investigation into the sexual assault of a child.

Rodriquez’s sentence is a result of the collaboration between the Abilene Police Department, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The case highlights the commitment of law enforcement agencies to protecting children from exploitation and prosecuting those who commit these heinous crimes.

U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould stated that the sentence affirms his office’s commitment to protecting children and prosecuting these vile criminals. HSI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard also emphasized that protecting children from exploitation is a core mission for HSI and that those who commit these crimes will be held fully accountable.
