Another case involves Luis Alonso Umana, a Honduran national sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for his ninth unlawful reentry into the United States.
The cases are part of Operation Take Back America, a joint effort between federal law enforcement partners, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Border Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. State and local law enforcement agencies have also provided assistance in the operation.
