Patrick Wanamaker, a 35-year-old Arlington man, has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for downloading and possessing child sexual abuse material. On October 1, 2025, federal authorities searched Wanamaker’s residence and recovered 9 electronic devices, including his cellphone and laptop, which contained disturbing images and videos of minors engaging in explicit conduct.

According to court documents, Wanamaker had been downloading and viewing this material between December 2015 and October 2023. A forensic analysis of his devices revealed 81 CSAM images and links to 279 images and 777 videos, including depictions of the sexual abuse of infants and toddlers.

The FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Meredith Clement and former Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexandra Minghella. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
