Atio Terrain Walton, a 23-year-old Richmond man, was caught with over five grams of cocaine base and a handgun in the Southwood Apartment Complex on July 10, 2025. This wasn’t his first run-in with the law – just a month prior, on June 10, 2025, Walton was convicted of possessing seven grams of cocaine and a concealed firearm in the same apartment complex. Despite being on supervised release, Walton continued to engage in illicit activities, leading to his latest arrest.
The investigation, led by the FBI’s Richmond Field Office and the Richmond Police Department, uncovered Walton’s Instagram post featuring the same firearm found in the apartment. As a previously convicted felon, Walton is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, making his latest offense even more egregious.
Walton’s actions have landed him a 15-month prison sentence for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating violent crime and transnational criminal organizations.
