A 20-year-old Honduran woman, Dania Orellana-Gamez, pleaded guilty to witness tampering after threatening a 16-year-old girl who was sexually exploited by her boyfriend, Bryan Sixto Arias-Chicas, in Albemarle County, Virginia. The incident occurred in May 2025, and Orellana-Gamez was arrested earlier this year. She contacted the victim via Facebook Messenger in February 2026, telling her to ‘keep quiet’ and threatening to upload explicit videos of the assault.
Orellana-Gamez’s boyfriend, Arias-Chicas, was charged in October 2025 with sexual exploitation of the minor, and another man, Gustavo Quintero, was charged in January 2026 with repeated sexual exploitation of the same victim. Arias-Chicas pleaded guilty earlier this month.
The victim reported Orellana-Gamez’s threatening messages to law enforcement, who investigated the matter. Orellana-Gamez’s actions were meant to intimidate the victim into not testifying in court.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jason Scheff and Sally Sullivan, with the support of Homeland Security Investigations.
