A depraved Hampton man was sentenced to 20 years in a federal prison cell for coercing minors to produce sickening child sex abuse material, authorities announced.
Yahmir Deshawn Kawante Hamlet, 25, had been using his devices to upload and distribute vile content since March 7, 2020, in exchange for payments. On December 6, 2023, FBI investigators raided his residence and seized seven electronic devices containing over 500 files of child sex abuse material, including infants and toddlers, masochism, and bestiality.
Further investigation following his arrest on May 1, 2025, uncovered additional child sex abuse material, including 30 images and five videos.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Peter G. Osyf prosecuted the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sex exploitation and abuse.
