An Alabama man, Kenneth Melvin Doss, 31, of Huntsville, Alabama, coerced a 13-year-old Danville girl to send him sex pics and vids. In July 2025, Doss convinced his 13-year-old cousin via Facebook Messenger to send explicit images and video of herself.

Doss’s scheme was uncovered, and he’s now facing the music. First Assistant US Attorney Robert N. Tracci and FBI Special Agent in Charge Ian Kaufmann announced the guilty plea.
The case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to protect kids from exploitation and abuse. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case.
