A 25-year-old Hillsville, Virginia man has been locked up for 13 long years after preying on underage girls online. Michael Tibbs pleaded guilty to coercing minors into sending him nude images and videos through Discord.

Starting in November 2022, Tibbs began grooming and bribing multiple victims, some as young as 13, to record and send him explicit content. He even paid them with cash, thinking he was above the law.
But his reign of terror finally came to an end on July 18, 2024, when FBI agents executed a search warrant at his home and seized his phone, which was packed with sickening child porn and videos of minors being abused.
Tibbs cracked under pressure, admitting to using Discord to buy sex from at least 10 minors, and even claimed he got his twisted ideas from watching child porn on TikTok.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Drew Inman is handling the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Child.
