A 43-year-old Mexican national, Noe Zamudio Hernandez, has been locked up for a decade after trying to exploit a minor in Florida. The predator was caught during a sting operation in Panama City in 2024.
Investigations revealed that Hernandez had been previously removed from the US after committing a sex offense against a child. He’d returned to the country illegally and began communicating with someone he thought was a minor to arrange a sex transaction.
But law enforcement had other plans. They swooped in and arrested Hernandez, who was subsequently charged with attempted enticement of a minor and illegal reentry of a previously removed alien.
US Attorney John P. Heekin hailed the conviction as a major win in the fight against sex predators. ‘Securing our border and enforcing our immigration laws is crucial to keeping our communities and children safe,’ he said.
