Joe Soriano III Sentenced to 10 Months in Prison for Fentanyl Distribution

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a shocking turn of events, Joe Soriano III, a 55-year-old resident of Poteau, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for his role in distributing Fentanyl, a highly addictive opioid.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Soriano was found guilty of two counts of Distribution of Fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance. The charges arose from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and the District 16 Drug Task Force.

On January 5, 2023, and January 12, 2023, Soriano was captured on video selling a total of 50 pills containing Fentanyl. The evidence gathered during the investigation led to Soriano’s guilty plea on February 6, 2024.

The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing. Soriano will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
