Treyvon Alexander, Bank Fraud, Ohio 2025

CINCINNATI – The largest known mail check heist in Cincinnati’s history has met its grim conclusion. Treyvon Alexander, 21, of Georgetown, Kentucky, was sentenced today to 72 months in prison for masterminding the daring scheme.

Alexander was caught after orchestrating a conspiracy with postal employee Destiny Neblett, 23, who stole checks from a mail processing facility and sold them to Alexander. The stolen mail included valuable checks totaling approximately $7.4 million.

Neblett’s boyfriend, Lonnel Lucas, 23, facilitated the sale of these checks. Alexander then processed and converted the funds into stolen goods. Many of the checks were recovered during searches, saving intended recipients from significant losses.

In addition to his prison term, Alexander was ordered to pay over half a million dollars in restitution. His co-conspirators, Neblett and Lucas, have also pleaded guilty to their roles in the scheme. Lucas is due to appear in federal court for a plea hearing on September 30th.

The sentencing was announced by Dominick S. Gerace, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, and Lesley Allison, Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). Assistant United States Attorney Timothy S. Mangan represented the United States in this case, which saw Alexander admit guilt to conspiring to commit bank fraud back in February 2025.

The sentence was imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Douglas R. Cole, marking a significant victory for justice and law enforcement in the Southern District of Ohio.
