Alan Castro-Hernandez, a 27-year-old illegal alien, has been sentenced to 160 months in prison for possessing a firearm and shooting someone at the Emperors Gentlemen’s Club in Chatham County, Georgia, in March 2025. Castro-Hernandez, of Garden City, pleaded guilty to two counts of being an Illegal Alien in Possession of a Firearm. The shooting occurred when Chatham County Police responded to a call at the club, finding a wounded victim and 9 mm casings at the scene.
Using surveillance video, investigators identified Castro-Hernandez’s vehicle and physical description, leading to a search of his residence, where they found the Glock Model 48, 9 mm pistol used in the shooting, along with several additional firearms. Castro-Hernandez admitted to officers that he possessed the firearm and shot someone the night he was at the establishment, and also admitted to knowingly being illegally in the United States.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), with assistance from Chatham County Police Detectives Randall Noble and John Puhala. U.S. Attorney Margaret E. ‘Meg’ Heap announced the sentence, which was imposed by U.S. District Court Chief Judge R. Stan Baker.
‘This defendant knew his actions were illegal, and the community is safer after the conclusion of this case,’ said U.S. Attorney Heap. ‘The teamwork and investigative skills of our law enforcement partners ensured this illegal alien would face justice.’ Castro-Hernandez will be deported immediately after serving his sentence.
