Alissa N. Mosley, 30, Pleads Guilty to Heroin Possession

Alissa N. Mosley, 30, of Johnstown, Pa., pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of violating federal narcotics laws, according to United States Attorney Scott W. Brady.

The indictment charged Mosley with one count of possessing with intent to distribute more than 100 grams of heroin on July 27, 2017. Her co-defendant was also involved in the crime.

United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson accepted Mosley’s guilty plea. Sentencing is scheduled for August 19, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. The law provides for a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison and a fine of $5,000,000 or both.

Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie L. Haines is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.

The investigation was conducted by the Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Cambria County Drug Task Force.

Mosley, a resident of Johnstown, Pa., now faces a serious sentence. The exact sentence will depend on the seriousness of the offense and her prior criminal history, if any.
