SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Verona man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for producing and receiving child pornography.
Allen S. Worley, 42, of Verona, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge M. Douglas Harpool to 15 years in federal prison without parole.
The charges against Worley stem from an incident that occurred between December 9, 2014, and April 16, 2015, when he attempted to use a minor, identified as Jane Doe #1, to produce child pornography. Worley also pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography over the Internet.
Worley pleaded guilty to the charges on May 16, 2016. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney James J. Kelleher.
The investigation into Worley’s crimes was a collaborative effort between the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crime Task Force and the Aurora, Mo., Police Department.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
