Amie Dawn Eggers Sentenced for Meth Trafficking, Texas, 2024
A Northeast Arkansas woman has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for her role in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Amie Dawn Eggers, 34, of Jonesboro, was sentenced to 132 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine actual and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Northeast Arkansas Narcotics Task Force and the Federal Bureau of Investigation into a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation in the region.
Eggers was one of several individuals charged in connection with the operation, which authorities say was responsible for distributing significant quantities of methamphetamine in Northeast Arkansas.
As part of her sentence, Eggers was also ordered to pay a $100,000 fine and to forfeit $100,000 in proceeds derived from her criminal activity.
The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge James E. Graham in the Eastern District of Arkansas.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher G. Archibald.
