Andover Man Sentenced for Child Porn Possession

Portland, Maine – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, Jason Littlehale, 42, of Andover, Maine, was sentenced to 6 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, in March 2012, law enforcement obtained information that Littlehale was sharing images of child pornography over the internet from his workplace in Mexico, Maine. Agents met with Littlehale at his home in Andover, where a forensic examination of his computers and computer equipment revealed thousands of child pornography images and videos.

Littlehale, a resident of Andover, Maine, pleaded guilty on September 30, 2013, to the charges.

The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit.

U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced the sentencing, which marks a significant blow to those who exploit and harm children. “This sentence should serve as a warning to those who engage in such heinous crimes,” Delahanty said.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of online safety and the need for vigilance in identifying and reporting suspicious activity. “We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities,” said Andrew McCormack, Assistant United States Attorney.

The investigation and prosecution of child pornography cases are a top priority for law enforcement agencies. The sentence handed down to Littlehale is a testament to the commitment of law enforcement to protect children from exploitation.
