Angelo Mark, Fentanyl Distribution, Washington 2024

Washington D.C. – In a fierce crackdown on the illicit drug trade, Angelo Mark, 31, was handed a 91-month federal prison sentence for his role in a violent drug delivery service that terrorized the nation’s capital. The sentencing, announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, marks the culmination of an intensive investigation and prosecution by the DEA and Metropolitan Police Department.

Mark pleaded guilty on June 18, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense. The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, includes three years of supervised release following his prison term.

According to court documents, Mark’s operation involved the sale of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and MDMA. From January 10, 2024, to March 13, 2024, undercover DEA agents made six controlled purchases from Mark’s brother, Jevaughn Mark, a co-conspirator.

On March 22, 2024, law enforcement executed search warrants at the homes of both brothers. At Angelo Mark’s residence on the 2300 block of Chester Street SE, they recovered four handguns, three assault-style rifles with removed serial numbers, and 954 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, agents seized 11.5 grams of cocaine, four digital scales, drug-packaging materials, and $50,663 in cash.

Co-defendant Jevaughn Mark pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and cocaine, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He also accepted responsibility for the drug-related deaths of Brandon Román and Robert Barletta. Jevaughn Mark was sentenced to 180 months in prison on June 26, 2025.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Iris McCranie and Dan Seidel of the Violent Crime and Narcotics Trafficking section, with the DEA’s Washington Division and Metropolitan Police Department leading the investigation.
