Anthony Donnell Pew Charged with Federal Firearm Charge, Ocala FL, 2024
A man with a long history of crime has been arrested in Ocala, Florida, on a federal firearm charge. Anthony Donnell Pew, a 47-year-old from Orlando, was taken into custody on April 2, 2024, and faces a minimum of 15 years in federal prison if convicted.
Pew has been convicted of 14 felonies, including tampering with evidence, felony battery, and multiple sales of controlled substances. On February 28, 2023, he was found to be in possession of two handguns and ammunition, which is a violation of federal law because of his prior convictions.
The indictment against Pew is the result of a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Eustis Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Hannah Nowalk.
The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities across the country.
