Anthony Miceli, Child Enticement, New York 2021

BINGHAMTON, NEW YORK – A Pennsylvania man was sentenced to 220 months in prison for attempting to entice children into illicit sexual activity.

Anthony Miceli, age 28, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was sentenced in United States District Court on May 19, 2021, to serve 220 months in prison for attempted enticement of a minor and traveling to engage in illicit sexual activity.

As part of his previously entered guilty plea, Miceli admitted that from January 25, 2020, through February 3, 2020, he communicated with an undercover officer he believed was the parent of two young children.

Miceli knowingly attempted to persuade, induce, entice or coerce an 8-year-old female child and a 5-year-old female child to engage in unlawful sexual activity with him.

Senior United States District Court Judge Thomas J. McAvoy also imposed a 15-year term of supervised release, which will start after Miceli is released from prison.

As a result of his conviction, Miceli will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release from incarceration.

This case was investigated by the FBI Mid-State Child Exploitation Task Force and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kristen Grabowski.

This case is prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
