Anthony Parente, a 30-year-old man from Loudonville, New York, was arrested and charged with child enticement, a federal crime that carries a statutory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life behind bars.
The charges against Parente stem from his alleged interactions with an undercover law enforcement officer who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. According to the complaint, Parente communicated with the officer through online chat applications, text messaging, and phone calls, discussing his sexual preferences and providing instructions on how to gratify them.
During their conversations, Parente sent the officer photos of his face and asked for nude photographs. He also arranged to meet the officer for sex, driving two hours to the agreed-upon location before being taken into custody by New York State Police.
Parente was found to have bondage equipment on his person at the time of his arrest, and in a post-arrest statement, he admitted to communicating with a 14-year-old girl and intending to engage in oral and vaginal intercourse with her.
‘There is little we take more seriously than protecting our children,’ said U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton in a statement. ‘Anthony Parente targeted someone he believed to be a teenage girl for explicit enticement to participate in sexual activity and then traveled into the Southern District of New York with the intention of engaging in sex with a minor.’
The FBI continues to partner with state and local law enforcement agencies to hold accountable those who attempt to prey on our children.
Parente is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 3, 2026. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Samantha Briggs leading the prosecution.
The charges contained in the complaint are merely accusations, and Parente is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
