Antione L. Shockley, Robbery and Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, Missouri 2023

ST. LOUIS, MO – Antione L. Shockley, 26, isn’t just hungry – he’s a menace. The convicted felon admitted Thursday to holding up a Domino’s delivery driver last April, a brazen act of robbery committed at gunpoint in the Central West End neighborhood. Shockley arranged the order – Buffalo wings and two pizzas – to a vacant residence, setting the stage for the ambush.

According to court documents, when the unsuspecting driver arrived on April 13, 2023, Shockley emerged from a gangway, brandishing a firearm and demanding the food. But the criminal activity didn’t stop there. Just two months later, on June 24, 2023, Shockley fired a handgun into the air, adding a reckless endangerment charge to his growing list of offenses. This happened, disturbingly, within a school zone.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department arrived on the scene, and Shockley attempted to ditch the evidence. He first handed the handgun he was holding to a woman, then pulled a stolen Ruger from his waistband and a rifle from *inside his pants*, dropping both on the ground. As if that weren’t enough, while being booked, Shockley assaulted a police officer, inflicting a head injury. A felon possessing firearms is already a serious offense; adding stolen weapons and assaulting law enforcement paints a clear picture of a dangerous individual.

Shockley pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to robbery and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. As part of a plea agreement, he’s also agreed to enter guilty pleas in St. Louis Circuit Court to a separate gun charge and resisting arrest related to the June incident. The feds and local authorities are working together to ensure Shockley faces justice for his multiple crimes.

Prosecutors and the defense have agreed to recommend a 10-year prison sentence for Shockley. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on April 9th. This case was a joint investigation by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Assistant U.S. Attorney Zachary Bluestone is leading the prosecution.

Shockley’s actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the law and the safety of the St. Louis community. While a pizza might seem like a small target, the use of a firearm elevates this robbery to a violent crime with potentially deadly consequences. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this case and report on the sentencing.
